The School of Physiotherapy of BIHER comprises of three departments namely Orthopaedics, Neurology and Cardiorespiratory in order to facilitate learning reads of UG and PG students as well to cater needs of healthcare. An adequately equipped with due electronic, exercise gadgets equipments for due clinical evaluation and therapeutic procedures were made available for learning and patient care.

Students are duly provided with adequate clinical training in their level of learning with experts from relevant medical field along with an updated research knowledge are aimed with effective co curricular activities are regularly conducted in order to promote reasoning skills and analytical thinking. Curriculum were regularly updated with critical inputs from eminent Clinicians, Alumni, Researchers in Physiotherapy to ensure greater competent physiotherapy professional as evidenced by most of Alumni emerging as entrepreneurs continuing higher studies in India and Abroad we are working forward to emulate as premiers in Physiotherapy education providers of highest quality.

Objectives of our vision through framing of curriculum for UG and PG programme to meet demands of society using critical inputs from various stalk holders
Establish tie up and MOU with hospitals and institutes of specialized facilities for imparting hands on skill training and knowledge with reasoning.
Plan and execute academic, cocurricular, extracurricular and community health activities to develop human values, confidence and communication skills

Programme Educational Objectives – (PEOs)

PEO 1:

Candidates to be imparted adequate knowledge in theory and practical skills relevant to basic medical science subjects.
PEO 2:

Learners to be made familiar with clinical training in various diagnostic, conservative and surgical procedures related to physiotherapy from competent professionals.
PEO 3:

Core physiotherapy subjects are to be given priorities with clinical reasoning, analytical means with due evidence.
PEO 4:

Make the best use of co - curricular activities to promote public address system confidence, ability to emerge as professional of global competency.
PEO 5:

An ambience enabling to develop critical thinking and research aptitude.

POs 1:

An evaluation done continuously using regular class room performance, model exams, assignments, seminars, co – curricular and extra-curricular skills.
POs 2:

Each learner’s level of competency be monitored, guided and mentored by faculty to nourish their learning talents..
POs 3:

Knowledge on theory and practical skills to be evaluated by relevant professional experts in ach programme.
POs 4:

An expected accuracy of 75% learning in each programme were kept as objective on learning outcome.
POs 5:

Identify candidates with research aptitude and learning aspiration, for professional competition conducted by other institutions.

Meritorious candidates of each programme be facilitated and encouraged appropriately.

As human life is involved with successful outcome of each programme adequate clinical exposure during learning from I to IV year, 6 months of compulsory internship further enable transition of emerging as successful professional, which was also duly evaluated by competent professionals.

PSO 1:

Define anatomy of various organs.
PSO 2:

Surface anatomy of human body to be familiar with attachments of muscles, joints, nerves and their functions
PSO 3:

Basic on the structure and functions of human body. Cardiovascular and endocrine functions.
PSO 4:

Analyse human personality, intelligence, factors influencing development and learning, understanding of family, social habits, attitude, belief, customs on family and disease.
PSO 5:

To know global guidelines scales, scores for evaluation, international classification of functioning, Clinical decision making of appropriate physiotherapy techniques using evidence.
PSO 6:

TTo understand normal lab values, various clinical conditions, pathological and microbiological conditions, investigations, surgical and conservative procedures involved in Paediatric surgery, geriatrics, Role of pharmacology.
PSO 7:

Knowing of various assessments, evaluator protocols, conservative and surgical procedures of different clinical conditions in orthopaedics, neurology and Cardiorespiratory, Sports, Gynaecological conditions.
PSO 8:

Be thorough with role of physiotherapy techniques, limitations, contraindications, their effects with evidence.

Programme Educational Objectives – (PEOs)

PEO1:

On Basic sciences where molecular biology, role of nutrition, vitamins, exercise physiology and fitness evaluation were imparted with evidence.
PEO 2:

On Advanced therapeutics in which learner is facilitated on various exercise and electrotherapy modalities with their applications, Limitations and with evidence.
PEO 3:

On Movement Sciences, where the candidate is expected to be familiar with basics and Advanced factors involved in human movements as well in rehabilitation of clinical conditions with due reasoning abilities.
PEO 4:

Were designed with an objective of learning applications of research method along and statistics using practical ways in the field of physiotherapy. Along with intriquencies of teaching technology were facilitated to learners..
